Silverchair is an Australian alternative rock band that sounds like Nirvana and PearlJam. The group is called the Innocent Criminals in Newcastle, New South Wales, 1992, with its current band member’s singer and guitarist Daniel Johns, bass guitarist Chris Joannou and drummer Ben Gillies. Silverchair have a great success in Australian Recording Industry, which takes the flagship industry awards, ARIA Awards, a record of 20 times. The group has also identified six awards in APRA.

Silverchair found initial success in one of their first song, “tomorrow”, it won in a competition of local music in Australian television network SBS. The band started to be idolized and people talk about them, they were crowned with success in Australia and on the international rock stage. In 2003, after the release of Diorama, the group has announced a gap in which the members registered with the site Dissociative projects, the chaos Hall, and Tambalane. Silverchair were back in together and reunited with 2005 Wave concerts, and then to release Young Modern and play Across the Great Divide tour with head up high.

Silverchair sound has evolved over their career; the individual sounds on the albums more and more ambitious over the years, from grunge / post-grunge about their beginnings its recent orchestral prog-pop infusion room.
