This video for Kings of Convenience ’s “Boat Behind” is downright charming; a little bit Volkswagen commercial, a little bit French New Wave travelogue, all Icelandic chamber pop charm. “Boat Behind” is pulled from the Kings’ recent Declaration of Dependence album (released last month). The clip, directed by Francois Nemeta, features Erlend Øye and Eirik Glambek Bøe puttering around the countryside, getting lost, pulling k-turns, picking up beautiful hitchhikers and, most adorably, singing along to their song on the radio
