“Phoenix” a French alternative rock band- started in their childhood by Thomas Mars, Deck D’Arcy, Laurent Brancowitz and Christian Mazzalai rich suburb of Versailles, in the same culture that produced the late 90s by such groups Air and Daft Punk.
Phoenix began as support for a remix band Air’s “Kelly Watch the Stars” single. Soon after, Phoenix released their 2000 debut album United. The name Phoenix was officially elected in 1996, when Laurent Brancowitz finally joined the group after the end of the short life of the group Darlin’ was amused and formed with Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, who became Daft Punk.
