American rock band Evanescence was founded in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1995 by singer / pianist Amy Lee and guitarist Ben Moody.
After recording two private EPs and a demo CD named Origin, with the help of Enterprises in heavyweight 2000 the band released their first album of long duration, Fallen, Wind-up Records in 2003. Fallen sold more than 15 million copies worldwide and helped the band win two Grammy awards. A year later, Evanescence released their first album, anywhere but Home, which sold over a million copies around the world. In 2006 the band released their second studio album, The Open Door, which sold over four million copies.
The group has undergone several changes of line, including co-founder Moody leaving in mid-2003 tour, bassist Boyd was in mid 2006, followed by guitarist John LeCompte and drummer Rocky Gray in 2007. The last two events ultimately led the group to be stopped with temporary replacements so the band at the end of the tour.
