Product DescriptionThe Sansa Clip+ MP3 player gives you more to enjoy. Enjoy up to 2,000 songs†† with an 8GB* player, FM radio, long-life battery and voice recorder. ...

The clip plus is a cute little player, nothing wrong with it. as far a the hardware, a great deal for the 39.99 price. The problem is the reliance on windows media player. No podcast support (Automated downloads, erasing the ones you have listened to, showing the unplayed files etc) No smart playlists, no genius, basically the same interface as I had on my first flash player with 128 megs.
When you buy an ipod (Nano for me)you are paying 75$ for the player and the rest pays for the software development that goes behind it. The Microsoft Zune”s software is proprietary also.
If you have a very small media library that is easy to manage, don’t listen to podcasts regularly and must have a display in a small clip on player than this player is great. If you want to plug your player in, have itunes auto start, sync all the new podcasts, remove the songs you’ve listened to and add different ones, sync automatically and be ready to go in five minutes or less, the extra cost for the ipod nano is well worth it
It is better than the Ipd shuffle 3g (screen, external buttons) but loading songs and playing them takes way longer.
Also I didnt notice a sound quality difference, the clip was a little more bassy than the nano, maybe this sounds better on the stock earbuds.
Also the nano has a year warranty and exchangeable at any apple store with no receipt. I ended up getting a used ipod nano 5g for 110$ on craigslist.
And the screen is 1000% better, and battery life 24 hrs instead of 15.
And the click wheel is way easier to use.

When it does honestly come down to MP3 Players, Sandisk honestly does make the best quality MP3 Players on the market. But, they have a few little wrinkles that Ipod hasn’t shown in price and great playback for music playback. They are simple and easy to use with all your favorite music on the go. But while many people do honestly want to bring out their video clips on the go, because of video downloads, many of us just want to bring our favorite tunes on the go. Well, Sandisk has shown that very well for the past several years on the market. Yet, their are new expansions and additions that also handle well for MP3 Players too, like the ability to play your MP3 Players with your home stereo. But, with all the hype around many MP3 Players on the market, is this Sansa Clip for you?
The new Sansa Clip Plus 4 GB MP3 Player, is a simple and convient MP3 player that works very well, as you click and easily connect all your favorite music and audio files, to your player for whenever you’re on the go. It is a simple and easy player that is simple and easy to operate with a push of a button. What I also like about the Sansa Clip Plus is that you can not just carry 4 GB of music, you can also exand you audio library, by adding music files stored from a simple Micro SD Card, and it expands your musical library, allowing you to play more songs that you can enjoy on the go. Yet, while the convience and control is easy to operate, the battery life is honestly unfortunately low, and lower than some on Sandisk’s other MP3 Players, including the Sansa Fuze. Where on this MP3 Player, you only get a 15 hour playback, that you’d have to constantly have to recharge the player if you’re a hard core MP3 listener. Not only that, but you’d have to constantly recharge your MP3 player by keeping it plugged into the computer, and leaving your computer on, where there honestly could’ve been a AC Adapter that could’ve been included with the player.
All in all, despite only a couple of flaws, I still highly recommend that if you had to choose a great MP3 Player, stick with Sandisk, and any one of their great MP3 Players. The Sansa Clip Plus is honestly one of the most convient MP3 Players on the market that is great for any of your hard core music loving needs. I just honestly wish though that there could’ve been more, but I still recommend it.

I almost purchased the Ipod Nano, but decided I did not need the photo and video capabilities. The Sansa Clip is a great portable music player for recreational activities. It is easy to use, and very small (in fact smaller than I expected). Its small size is probably its only drawback, as it can sometimes be difficult to select new songs or adjust the volume without accidentally hitting other buttons. I highly recommend this product as an alternative to more expensive MP3 players.

I now have bought 3 of these. 2 that are 4GB & 1 that is 8GB. Be aware that the ones with the circle “button”, on the front, are the older models. I liked the way it lighted up around the circle, but it does not have the memory card slot or the “folder” option. On the newer ones, the “folder” option allows you to see & play all of one artist’s songs or albums.
At first, I did not think that I could delete songs, then I studied the instructions, and realized how simple it is. Not sure why, but when I connected the Sansa player to my desktop computer, I was able to see a list of what songs are on the player and delete from there. When I connected it to my laptop, I was unable to see any lists.
I love that it is so small and portable, and that it has that clip feature! It is 1 of the top 5 MP3 players!
For Christmas presents, I intend to send the 4 GB ones, with a set up of my friend’s special songs & albums, that I have collected on my computer. One friend is a walker and she will now have lots of “walking songs”. WOW, will she like how light & convenient, this Sansa is!

The Sansa Clip+ is a fantastic music player that easily syncs with any music app I’ve tried. It’s small, but powerful, and yet the device is still very easy to use without having to look at the screen. That makes it great for exercising, which was important to me. I’ve been using it for a little while now, and so far I have no complaints.
