Blink-182 is a rock band from Poway, California, who plays primarily pop punk. The group was formed in 1992 as “Blink” with members Tom DeLonge (vocals, guitar), Mark Hoppus (vocals, bass) and Scott Raynor (drums). In 1998, half of U.S. through a tour, drummer Travis Barker replaced Raynor. Delonge left the band in early 2005, opening an indefinite break. Delonge formed Angels & Airwaves, while Hoppus and Barker continued to play music in 44. On February 8, 2009, Blink-182 announced they continue as a band, with a brief statement posted on its website, saying: “In short, we are back. We mean, really back. Gathering, in which stopped, and then some. The study of writing and recording a new album, which followed minutes after the announcement of a Grammy.
Cites punk rock offspring Delonge and Screeching Weasel as influences, although the songs and production is driven by a pop sensibility. Blink-182 is known for Thier simple melodies, teen angst and lyrical toilet humor, and its hit singles “Dammit”, “What’s My Age Again?”, “All the Small Things”, “Adam’s Song”, “The Rock Show”, “First Date”, “Stay Together for the Kids”, “Feeling This”, “Always” and “I Miss You”. When playing live, the group generally play their songs at a faster pace, and often replace certain words with toilet humor and gags. Hoppus often bounces around the stage playing his bass, while Delonge is often in a position while singing and playing his guitar. During the implementation of the frequency band and chat with other people, often casually insulting each other or tell jokes.
